“Virtual Physiological Human” in the ENVI Committee’s official text
The Policy Affairs Working Group (PAWG) is pleased to report that on 29 November 2013, the European Parliament’s Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee (ENVI) voted in favour of policy that will directly enhance the reputation of the VPH institute.

Horizon 2020: Parliament joint debate
On 20 November 2013 the Parliament in plenary debated on the Regulation setting up Horizon 2020, on the basis of the “Establishment of Horizon 2020 - The Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020)” report drafted by MEP Teresa Riera (S&D, Spain), as well as its accompanying rules for participation and the future legislation governing the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.

2014 EU budget agreed
The EU Council and the European Parliament on November 11 in Brussels have agreed on the EU budget for 2014 in the negotiations guided by the Lithuanian Presidency. The budget amounts to 142.6 billion euros in commitments and 135.5 billion euros in payments.
