What personal data we collect
Through our website, our newsletter provider, or other systems we use to implement the activities indicated in our articles of association, we might ask you toprovide us both personal and professional data and data related to the organization you work for.

contact information – full name, job title or function, company/organisation name, department, email address, work address and country, telephone number, user name and password
professional information – job description and related information, such as job function; company/organisation details; information relative to your research field of interest and participation to EC funded project.
proof of your employment – student status
transaction information – your contact information; billing information associated with the purchase of your membership quota.
Why do we collect your personal data?
If you apply for the membership of our organization, we ask you for the personal and professional data we need to identify you and process your request. We would also request the billing information that allow us to process the payment of your membership quota.
In addition, we may use your data to provide you with our best services related to the purpose of our organisation, such as circulation of information, organisation of events and collaboration offers and marketing of relevant activities.
Independently from your membership status, from our website, you also have the possibility to subscribe to our monthly newsletters to receive information of relevance for the VPH community. In subscribing to the newsletter, we might ask you information relative to your field of interest to implement our services and our communication with you.
List of email addresses gathered at specific activities of the VPH institute (for example the webinars or conferences) can also be created to distribute targeted information related to the activity at which the data was collected.
How long do we keep your data?
We will keep your membership personal data while we have legal liabilities in relation to the services we have provided you with.
In addition to the above, if you are subscribed to our newsletters, we will keep your email address until you ask to be unsubscribed. You will be able to unsubscribe or modify your data at any moment, using the link that you will find in every newsletter for this purpose.
For activity related mailing lists, you can request to be removed at any times by sending an email to manager@vph-institute.org.
