Where is engineering simulation heading? Is it being adopted as much as it should be? If not, what’s the hold-up? Are Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning having an impact on the R&D process?
In this collaborative research effort, NAFEMS and McKinsey & Company are examining the future of digital engineering and looking for perspectives from both users and providers of simulation tools. This survey aims to gain a granular understanding of the adoption of simulation in R&D processes today and to examine where this trend will likely lead.
The survey is now open and should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Responses will be kept confidential.
It covers both classical simulation approaches based on multi-physics methodologies that solve partial differential equations (e.g., CFD, FEA, MBS) and AI/ML-based technologies that leverage data to predict product/system/component performance and also relevant scalar or vector fields.
