Digital solutions for better healthcare is a trending topic at the regional, national and even the EU-level. The European Commission recently published a Communication on the digital transformation of health, the Austrian Presidency sees it as one of its priorities and several MEP's have expressed their vision on this topic.
For this reason the East Netherlands Region is organising an free event in the Leopold hotel on October 10 in the afternoon in Brussels. Relevant stakeholders (Commission, European Parliament, Austrian Presidency and lobbyists) are invited to share their respective visions, policy and best practices, which are fundamental to the success of the digital transformation of health and care.
In the East Netherlands Region - consisting of the Provinces of Overijssel and Gelderland - a consortium of four academic institutes (Wageningen University, Radboud UMC, Radboud University and the University of Twente), together with other partners have set up the 'TopFit programme'. The goal of this programme is to reduce illness and the burden with an integrated approach combining innovative, patient-oriented technologies and knowledge of nutrition and health. TopFit’s mission is hoping to become a leading impact programme in the field of technology and innovation.
