WHO Call for papers on new ethical challenges of the digital technologies, machine learning and AI in public health

The World Health Organization (WHO) opened a call for papers on new ethical challenges of digital technologies, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) in public health in order to publish a theme issue in its Bulletin.

The World Health Organization (WHO) Bulletin is a peer-reviewed monthly journal which presents research, opinions and news to public health decision-makers and researchers. The Bulletin is one of the world's leading public health journals. This special issue on new ethical challenges aims to explore and highlight potential ethical and governance matters that AI applications raise in public health.

The WHO therefore welcomes papers covering good research practices, implementation challenges, key normative questions and analysis of ethical challenges that arise in countries dealing with governance, research and implementation of such digital technologies for health.

Should you be interested in this call for papers, the deadline for submission is 15 May 2019. Please note that papers need to be submitted in accordance with the Bulletin’s guidelines for contributors and the cover letter should mention this call for papers. The guidelines on how to submit your contribution to the Bulletin can be found here.
