On 13 June 20233, the Avicenna Alliance, together with its partner NAFEMS and MICADO, co-hosted the first meeting of the “Etats Généraux du in silico» to assess the situation of in silico adoption in France.
The webinar started from the analysis that numerous CM&S-, digital- and AI-based methods are emerging from academics or practitioners while medical device manufacturers seem to be behind speed in France, a part from a few pioneer companies and start-ups.
A panel of representatives of industry, regulatory agencies and academia were gathered to present achievements and discuss challenges to overcome in the field. The VPHi gave a testimony with the view of the academic community on current developments, challenges and solutions envisioned via multi-stakeholder collaborations.
This was the launch of an initiative that will continue to advocate and act to lower the barriers in France and Europe for the use of CM&S in the healthcare industry.
