The 21st National Day on Biomedical Engineering took place at VUB - Belgium on 17 November 2023, hosted by The National Committee of Biomedical Engineering. Some of our members and collaborators contributed to the discussion on "Advancing Healthcare through DigitalTwins and Virtual Simulations"

The roundtable discussions explored the diverse career paths within digital twins and dissected the crucial roles played by various stakeholders, involving legal and ethical experts, industry representatives, and medical professionals.

Topics ranged from establishing ethical manifestos to navigating regulatory challenges, emphasizing the importance of trust in the realm of digital twins.

The day concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing the outstanding contributions of young scientists and their best posters.
