Oxford University invites applications for a Marie Sklodowska-Curie ITN Early Stage Researcher Fellowship, tenable for 3 years at Oxford University, to start before 1/2/18. The MSC-ESR Fellow will work with Prof Blanca Rodriguez on Personalised In-Silico Cardiology (PIC), within the Computational Cardiovascular Science team to investigate why and how medicines cause cardiotoxicity in healthy people and in people with cardiac disease. Working on the PIC-project you will aim to improve our understanding and prediction of cardiotoxicity, which is of huge interest for society, industry and regulatory bodies.
The Fellowship is offered in conjunction with a DPhil position at the University of Oxford, and will be subject to the Fellow satisfying the University’s admissions requirements for DPhil study. The EC funding for this position provides for a remuneration starting from £31,377 p.a., actual salary will depend on employer deductions, personal circumstances and the exchange rate applicable to the fellowship. This amount includes an annual living allowance and a mobility allowance (to cover the expenses associated with working in a different country). To be eligible for the post you must not have been resident in the UK for more than a total of 12 months in the past 3 years up to the start date. Persons who would have obtained a doctorate or had more than 4 year’s full time research experience at the start date are ineligible.
