On 6 October 2022 iSi Health, the KU Leuven Institute of Physics-based Modeling for in silico Health, had its inaugural kick off event for the 2022-2023 Academic Year.
Members of the KU Leuven and UZ Leuven research communities, as well as industry representatives, gathered together for an exciting evening program discussing the power and impact of model-based approaches in healthcare.
Prof. Jan D’hooge and Prof. Chris Van Geet presented inspiring talks on the use of digital twin for cardiac research. There was also a roundtable discussion on the future of in silico health that generated an interesting interactive discussion between the audience and the panelists representing the clinical, engineering, and legal/ethical perspectives.
We look forward to next iSi Health event showcasing more of the innovative in silico research happening at KU Leuven!
