General assembly of the UK Chapter of the VPHi

After 2 years the General Assembly (GA) of the VPHi-UK chapter has met for the second time at the BioMedEng conference held in Sheffield on 6-7/09/21.

In a short meeting attended both in person and online the GA has approved the new Board that is composed by 5 elected members who will drive the initiatives of the chapter in the next 3 years:

  • Enrico Dall’Ara (University of Sheffield) - re-elected
  • Pietro Liò (University of Cambridge) - re-elected
  • Moazen Mehran (University College London) - re-elected
  • Marlène Mengoni (University of Leeds) - re-elected
  • Pinaki Bhattacharya (University of Sheffield) - newly-elected

During the GA the Board has updated the members of the VPHi-UK chapter about the membership, communication tools and activities in the past years.

An open discussion with the BioMedEng Association Trustees and Directors of the VPHi from the UK institutions has followed to discuss the future relationship between the BioMEdEng Association and the VPHi-UK chapter. More news will follow in the next months!
