Funded PhD opportunities in Bologna

The call for this year scholarships for University of Bologna PhD program in Health and Technology is now out!

There are six projects linked to the Biomechanics group:

  • Scholarship N. 8, funded by the In Silico World Project - Development of orthopaedic treatment models for in silico trials - Supervisor: Marco Viceconti
  • Scholarship N. 13, funded by the OsteoCustom project - Biomechanical rationale and testing customized femoral prosthetic component for amputees - Supervisor: Luca Cristofolini
  • Scholarship N. 14, funded by the OsteoCustom project - Anatomical-based design of customized femoral prosthetic components for amputees - Supervisor: Luca Cristofolini
  • Scholarship N. 15, funded by the OsteoCustom project - Biomechanical and clinical evidences of vertebral metastases to predict the risk of fracture - Supervisors: Luca Cristofolini & Marco Viceconti
  • Project K: Biomechanical evaluation of knee mechanical behaviour and interface stresses with a new concept of alignment for total knee arthroplasty (NEW-KNEE) - Supervisor: Luca Cristofolini
  • Project O - competing for ministerial scholarship - In silico trials for predicting the risk of failure in joint replacements in patients with neurodegenerative co- morbidities Supervisor: Marco Viceconti
