- Mr. Véran said that France is looking forward to future progress in the EU on digitalisation in health. He believes that the future of modern medicine, represented by the legislative proposal on the European Health Data Space, should facilitate research and treatment accessible and adapted to individuals and should equip the EU to further develop its health industries.
- On the Pharmaceutical strategy for Europe, the Minister said that the Presidency would like to move to a more integrated strategy when it comes to health products. In particular, he stressed the ability of pharmaceutical companies to adapt to new variants.
- The Presidency intends to strengthen the health industrial policy and the strategic positioning of the EU in this field, by promoting innovation in the various segments of the health industries.
