EC outlines how Investment funds to be used across the EU

European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) for Health
ESIF

The European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), is one of the largest funding instruments in the EU to Member States. If you have ever seen a sign on the road saying β€œpart funded by the EU” – will this is the pot of cash this funding came from. Although a part of wide range of other initiatives it should particularly not be confused with the European Fund for Strategic Investment (EFSI), the controversial new policy by the Commission.

A constant source of confusion, the European Commission has very helpfully published a new document outlining where all the funding will be going from 2014-2020. Note also that this is entirely separate from Horizon 2020.

Each Member State has a detailed outline of where funding will be allocated and Members are encouraged to check their country of operation to see what opportunities at national level may be available.

The full outline can be found here.
