DG Connect has launched a public Consultation on “Directions for ICT-driven public sector innovation in the EU.” The Commission will be using the results of this consultation to feed into the work programmes for Horizon 2020.
The consultation is heavily directed towards telecommunications and cloud computing type stakeholders. While the consultation document refers to the Digital Agenda 2020, which itself makes several references to eHealth and the need for deployment of eHealth solutions, the consultation makes no references to eHealth or health in any way.
The Policy Affairs Working Group will be responding to this consultation, calling on the Commission to fulfill their promises under the digital agenda and provide adequate funding for eHealth technologies such as VPH.
