Announcing the New VPH Young Scientists Committee

We are thrilled to announce the new members of the Young Scientists Committee

The call for applications for the new VPH Institute Young Scientists Committee (YSC) officially closed in November, and we are thrilled to announce that the new members have been selected!

We received a high number of strong applications from talented young researchers around the globe, making the selection process both inspiring and highly competitive. We want to welcome on board:

  • Luca Bontempi, Erasmus Medical Center
  • Linda Carpenedo, Politecnico di Milano
  • Stephen Creamer, Auckland Bioengineering Institute
  • Robin Curnow, University of Manchester
  • Salla Kim, University of California Irvine, Henry Samueli School of Engineering
  • Yogesh Kumaran, University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences
  • Juntong Lai, University of Sheffield
  • Rahul Manoj, Norwegian University of Science & Technology (NTNU)
  • Anna Ramella, Poltecnico di Milano
  • Elena Redaelli, University of Zaragoza

The YSC plays a vital role in shaping the future of the VPH Institute, acting as a voice for the new generation of scientists within our community. The committee is tasked with promoting career development opportunities, engaging young researchers in VPH activities, and fostering collaborations within the broader scientific and professional network.

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the outgoing members of the YSC, who have served over the last two years: Samuele Gould, Mahdi Jaber, Mojtaba Lashgari, Benjamin Matheson, Robyn May, Domitille Princelle.
Their dedication, invaluable contributions, and active participation have helped create impactful initiatives and strengthened the VPH community for young researchers.

Stay tuned for an official introduction to the new committee members in January, as we look forward to more exciting initiatives ahead!
