On 11 October 2016 at the European Parliament in Brussels, MEPs Nicola Caputo (S&D) and Seán Kelly (EPP, Ireland) in cooperation with the Avicenna Alliance will host an event in the European Parliament entitled “In Silico– turning big data into personalized medicine

With computer modelling and simulation set to play a defining role in bridging big data and personalized medicine, current policy frameworks are buckling under the pressure of new computer modelling and simulation technologies.

The event will focus on the revolutionary role of In Silico medicine in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and software industries and how regulatory systems need to adapt to these new changes.

VPHi President, Prof Marco Viceconti, will open this discussion that will feature a presentation from Tina Morrison from the US Food and Drug Administration and will be moderated by Alison Abbott from Nature Magazine.
