This day focusses on showcasing the variety of work done in the domain of digital twins in healthcare in Belgium, with speakers and participants from academia, industry, regulators and policy makers.
Digital twins in healthcare are becoming increasingly popular as a concept. In the broadest sense, digital twins refer to virtual counterparts of physical products or processes with an information exchange between both. In healthcare, this concept is generalized to include all in silico models, regardless of the technology used to generate them (data-driven, knowledge-driven or combinations), that have been informed by patient-specific data at least at one point in their life cycle.
On September 29 2023 (whole day) we are organizing a Belgian day on digital twins in the promotion hall of KU Leuven with speakers from academia, industry, hospitals, regulatory agencies, HTA and representatives of the federal government and European Commission.
Over the long lunch we provide a forum to all interested organizations to showcase their developments and products where we intend to show how active Belgium is in this domain. Do you want to showcase your industrial activities in this area or your scientific projects, or do you want to come and listen, you are welcome! The event is free of charge for all participants and exhibitors.
